The existing building consisted of two separate units spread over two floors.

One was an open-plan art gallery with a centrally located spiral staircase, and the other was a shop.

The brief was to combine the two units and convert them into a solicitor's office.

The new layout had to include a reception, waiting room, admin, eight individual offices, consultation rooms, board room and all the ancillary accommodation required.

We managed to achieve an extra storey within an existing envelope of the building to accommodate offices and roof terrace.

All the fire safety issues needed to be addressed, which led to introducing a new stair core.

Public accommodation, including reception, waiting area and consultation rooms, had to be separated from the offices.

The bespoke reception desk in the waiting area was designed, and all the finishes were selected, including light fittings and sanitary ware.
